Jack and the Beanstalk

Video

Presented in American Sign Language (ASL).

'Jack and the Beanstalk' is an English folktale which first appeared in print in 1807 - but it was probably around a long time before that as an oral story. In this version the giant's famous line "I smell the blood of an Englishman" has become "I smell the blood of a small human". It's an internationally-known story now, an adventure story which children find exciting.
